Hi, welcome to my portfolio. My name is Geoff Louw, and I'm a graphic designer and artist of sorts. I spent many years in advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, J Walter Thompson and Saatchi & Saatchi. There I was a Creative Director, Art Director, Illustrator, cartoonist and storyboard artist, and my work won lots of awards. I am now an Internet-based freelance creative consultant. I have a wide range of skills, including:
I've done work on top clients, such as British Airways, SAB, Bic and Yamaha, at some of the world's best agencies. But much of the work you see here was done for small companies, and on small budgets. I can design all the communications material that you need to market your company, service or product. This includes designing logos, brochures, animated sales presentations and web sites. I can also create press campaigns, or get your site to the top of Google.
The main idea behind the work is "Keep It Simple" because if it is simple, it is easier for the consumer to remember and buy your product.
With each job I take on, I try to match what's in my portfolio. I like to do things that get the message across in a striking way. It's usual to try to include a strong concept, to help make your business look good to the customer. Which is what it's all about.

Hi to all graphic designers, illustrators and web designers! If you want a job, here's some food for thought. This site does well on Google for a wide range of key words. It gets up to 150 visits per day, and lots of enquiries from potential clients. They find the site by typing in things like "graphic designers." Do you want that many people to see your work each day? Call me. You will have the chance to quote on a range of jobs, with clients from all over. This is how I've worked for years. You could too. It beats office work. It's great!
I plan to turn the site into an online ad agency, The Ad Man. It will have the things which make up a normal agency, like Traffic. But all is done through the web, so you get to work from home. The clients save the money they'd normally spend on ad agency costs, such as office rent.
Get on the web, get on Google. It's SA's biggest stage. It will open up your world. Only R200 / month if you sign up now.
