Some amazing things can be done to images, although photo-retouching usually isn't noticed. It's about making bad pictures seem natural, or good pics better. 80% of the images we see are manipulated in some way. Sometimes it's a simple colour correction, but it can be a comp, restoration or special effects.

Here's a small selection of the image work I've done.

Usually the intention is that retouching is not noticeable. In this image for a clothing store, the background had to be removed and the colours adjusted to enhance the store's bohemian-chic image. (* Retouching and production).

A dull factory interior can be made to look like the inside of a space ship, to match the high-tech feel of the products.. Below is the original image.

Also ads done as a freelance consultant. WEBSITE DESIGNERS PORTFOLIO A website which I designed for a youth hostel. The design had Flash animations, brochure and map downloads. A search engine campaign was part of the job. FLASH GRAPHICS / WEB DESIGN Advertising banners for the website. Also animated gifs and postcard designs. SEO Search Engine Optimization results for the site. This job led to an increase in bookings for the client. WEBSITE DESIGN A web design for a South African tourism place. The theme of the back packers is Tolkien-ish. The web graphics had to reflect this. Also includes copy writing and basic search engine optimization.			FLASH WEBSITE A Flash website for an company that designs and makes bullet proof vests and helmets. INTERNET ADVERTISING More graphic design for the same client . Included is one for a trade show display. WEB GRAPHICS Another graphics rich Flash design. I tried to do better advertising than is usually done for places like this. FLASH DESIGN More pages from the web site. WEB SITE DESIGN A design project for a backpackers on the Wild Coast, South Africa. ABOVE THE LINE ADVERTISING An Ad campaign. This was for an advertising agency in Durban, SA. It was for The Sharks team. It was one of the first sports campaigns in the country. AD A full page press ad to announce the season's games. POSTER DESIGN This was part of the job for the advertising agency. BELOW THE LINE ADVERTISING A design campaign to advertise a graphic design studio in Durban.
